Edgar Freeman Lester, 85, of 612 N. Harvey St., died at 2:30 p.m. Friday at his home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.
A native of Milam County, Texas, he had lived in Wheeler County for 65 years before moving to Borger three years ago.
He was a retired Santa Fe Railroad employee and member of the Mobeetie Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Vera; a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Wyatt of Lubbock; four sons, Harold Lester, Jerald Lester, and James Lester, all of Borger, and Doye Lynn Lester of Ventura, Calif.; three brothers, Ernest Lester of Wheeler, Claude Lester of McLean and Glen Lester of Briscoe; five sisters, Mrs. Dovie Dillard of Tahoka, Mrs. Ethel Alexander of Stanton, Mrs. Alma Mitchell of Mineral Wells, Mrs. Velma Vanstration of Dumas, and Mrs. Buena Red of Perryton; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
