WHEELER - Ardie Pauline Martin, 96, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Wheeler Church of Christ with Dr. Shawn Johnson, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Martin was born to Louis and Annie Miller Sivage on May 4, 1907, in Morgan Mill. She came to Wheeler County with her family in a covered wagon in 1922. She attended Corn Valley School.
She married Pyrmon A. Martin on Aug. 7, 1925, in Corn Valley. She was a member of the Wheeler Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Louis; four brothers; three sisters; a great-grandson; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include two sons, Happy Martin and wife, Nora, of Farmington, N.M., and Bob Martin and wife, Elaine, of Wheeler; a daughter, Ida Mae Goad of Wheeler; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Martin of Shamrock; a sister-in-law, Audie Sivage of Mobeetie; four grandsons; four granddaughters; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to Parkview Assisted Living Center of Wheeler or High Plains Children's Home of Amarillo.
