Joe Ann Spinks was born on August 31, 1934 in Porter Springs, Texas, the first of ten brothers and sisters. She was a life-long resident of Crockett where she and her husband, Eddie, of 56 years, raised their three children, Joe Eddie, Ginia, and Royce.
Joe Ann was a beautician in Crockett for over 50 years, avid Astros fan, expert tomato grower, and outstanding cook. In years past, she was actively involved with Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a part of the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home Family. Most of all, Joe Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
