Funeral services for Robert William McNeil, 51, who died at 4:10 a.m. Tuesday in West Plains Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient a few hours, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the First United Methodist Church of Muleshoe.

The Rev. J.B. Fowler, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Wheeler Cemetery by Singleton-Ellis Funeral Home.

Mr. McNeil, born in Lima, Ohio, Dec. 3, 1921, moved to Wheeler and lived here until 1964 when he and his wife moved to Muleshoe where he became parts manager for Crow Chevrolet. He was an army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; one son, Danny, of Muleshoe; two daughters, Mrs. Gene Keelin of Wheeler and Mrs. Jerry Swires of Canadian; one sister, Mrs. Gerald Ham of Woodward, Oklahoma and three grandchildren.

Betty Jane McNeil, 64, died Monday, January 25, 1988.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, in First United Methodist Church. Rev. Mike Struve, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mrs. McNeil, born in Fargo, Okla., moved to Wheeler in 1949. She moved to Muleshoe in 1964 and in 1977 moved back to Wheeler. She worked for Wheeler Public Library for three years. She was a member of First Methodist Church, Jeannie King Circle and Senior Citizens. She was married to Robert W. McNeil in 1945 at Fargo. He died in 1972.

Survivors include a son, Danny McNeil of Wheeler; two daughters, Sherry Swires of Lefors and Norma Keelin of Wheeler; two brothers, N.D. Ware of Wheeler and E.A. Ware of Alva, Okla.; a sister, Norma Pittman of Canyon; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Gary Ham, Bobby Ware, Gary Ware, Kent Ware, Phil Ware, Scott Ware. Honorary Pallbearers were John Holcomb and Travis Keelin.

Memorials may be made to Wheeler Public Library or to KPDR radio.
