Mrs. Ether Phoebe Meek, 87, died Saturday, May 7, 1977.
Services were held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, May 9, 1977 in the First Baptist Church in Wheeler. The Rev. David Campbell, pastor, Rev. Sanford Cole, and Rev. Dale Cain were officiating. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Meek was born Uz. Her husband, Edward E. Meek, died in 1971. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors included five sons, Carnes of Wheeler, Clinton of Carbondale, Ill., Jack, J.P., and Wayne, all of Canadian; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Meadows of Briscoe and Lola Cypers of Odessa; one brother, Paul Meek of Monahans; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Paulbearers [sic] were her grandsons, Clifford Cyphers, Eddie Meadows, Larry Meadows, Grant Meek, J. Michael Meek, J. Phil Meek, Kenneth Meek, Kevin Meek, Mark Meek, and Mack Sides.
