Rites Slated For Stella Megee
Mrs. Mary Stella Megee, 81, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 1970. Length of illness was one week.
Mrs. Megee was born May 26, 1989 [sic] at Pearville [sic], Arkansas. Her father's name was John Henry Neal. She was married to George H. Megee in 1904.
Mrs. Megee had lived in Wheeler Co. since 1932. She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Wheeler.
Survivors are 4 daughters, Mrs. Sarah Goodman of Wellston, Okla., Mrs. Mary Pierce of Wheeler, Miss Myrtle Megee of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. Wanda Bettis of Oklahoma City; 2 sons, Ernest of Oklahoma City, and Ralph of Dalhart, Texas; 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Megee was preceded in death by her husband in 1933 and also by 2 son, 1 daughter and 2 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church of Wheeler at 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. Rev. Keith McCormick will officiate. Burial services will be in the Wheeler Cemetery under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
