ALLISON - Allen Monroe Reynolds, 76, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Meller, pastor, and Gary Hall, a son-in-law of Allison, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.
Mr. Reynolds was born in Morrilton, Ark. He served in the Army during World War II. In 1949, he and his wife to Allison from Pampa.
A farmer and rancher, Mr. Reynolds was recognized by the Wheeler Chamber of Commerce as Farmer/Rancher of the Year in 1967. He served on the board of trustees at the Allison Independent School District for six years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon for 41 years.
He married Nadene Burress in 1943 at Mobeetie.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Allen Wayne Reynolds of Amarillo; three daughters, Linda Hall and Debra Boydston, both of Allison and Vickie Lay of Amarillo; two brothers, Denver Reynolds and Robert Reynolds, both of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 S. Fourth St., Canadian, TX 79014.
