*Obituary
Services for Jess Swetnam, 88, who died at 2 p.m. Sunday in Parkview Hospital, were held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday in the First Baptist Church.

Officiating, Rev. David Campbell, Pastor. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Swetnam was born in Jack County and came to Wheeler County in 1947. He moved into Wheeler 14 years ago.

He was a Baptist and a retired farmer.

His wife, Lettie May, died in 1942.

Surviving are two sons, J.C. of Fresno, Calif., and Jack H. of Amarillo; three daughters, Mrs. Sylvia McGuire of Bishop, Calif., Mrs. Rita [sic] Mae Turner of Mobeetie and Mrs. Ela Fulks of Pampa; three brothers, I.K. of Graham, Rit of Bryson, and Leman of Jacksboro; a sister, Mrs. Teresa Bernathy of Jacksboro; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Clarence Holderman, Milton Finsterwald, Jeff Kelley, Odis Reid, Vernon Sivage, and Terrill Gunter.

Honorary Pallbearers were: Harold Sivage, Harry Wofford, Bus Dorma, Bud Powell, Loyd Childress and Silas Childress.
