Funeral Mass for Leonor Alvarado, age 86 of Seminole, Texas will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jose De Dios Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alvarado was born in Kyle, Texas on April 11, 1935. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was a homemaker. She married Robert Alvarado on February 14, 1953 in Lockhart, Texas. She was a hard working woman who served as mother and father for many years. Leonor was a Christian lady who loved her church and Lord; she served as a devoted Guadalupana for many years. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly.
Leonor Alvarado passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at her home in Seminole surrounded by her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death her husband Robert in 1975; one son, Robert Alvarado, Jr. in 2009; one daughter, Sylvia Alvarado in 1995; one grandson, Robert Shannon Alvarado in 1996; two granddaughters, Yvette Martinez in 2005, and Vondee Michelle Alvarado in 1981; one brother and five sisters. She is survived by one son, Hector Alvarado and wife Diana of Midland, Texas; four daughters, Bertha Parra and husband Augustine of Lamesa, Texas, Margie Martinez and husband Joe of Seminole, Texas, Carmen Sauseda and husband Frank of Lamesa, and Linda Cognasi of Lubbock, Texas; one brother Guadalupe DeLeon and wife Josie of San Antonio, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
