*Obituary William H.
W.H. (Uncle Bill) White beloved, aged resident of Wheeler passed away at his home here Monday morning at 2:15 o'clock. Mr. White had not been in good health for several months but had been seriously ill for only a few weeks.

Mr. White had been a resident of the Wheeler community for the past 32 years. He was a retired building contractor and had operated the White Hotel here for a number of years. He moved with his parents to Texas when he was only 8 years of age and helped to build many early buildings in the Panhandle.

There was some doubt about his age, he claimed to be only 87 years old but his oldest step-child says that he was born in 1857 which would make him 93 years of age at the time of his death. He was born in Dyersburg, Tenn. on March 12, 1857 or 1863.

Funeral services were conducted from the Wheeler Methodist Church at 3:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Darris Egger, pastor, in charge. Assisting in the services was Minister Ernest Grizzard of the Church of Christ.

Interment was in the Wheeler Cemetery beside the wife who passed away April 10, 1950. Kirk-Mason Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
