PAMPA - Kennith Wayne "Stretch" Richardson, 72, died Monday, July 17, 2006, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Taylor, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Kelton Cemetery in Kelton.

Mr. Richardson was born Nov. 19, 1933, in Wheeler. He was a 1952 graduate of Kelton High School. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1958, moving from Shamrock. He farmed and ranched in Wheeler County for many years, and he retired from IRI in 1995 as a machine shop superintendent after 37 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during peacetime.

Survivors include four daughters, Kristie Niehaus and husband Robert of Portland, Ore., Kellye Richardson and Keva Richardson, both of Austin, and Kerri Lafferty and husband Austin of Watonga, Okla.; two sisters, Glenda Gaines and husband James of Amarillo, and Sandra Crowder of Chickasha, Okla.; three grandchildren, Neely Niehaus of Portland, and Haynes Lafferty and Reece Lafferty, both of Watonga; a stepgrandson, Nick Niehaus of Portland; and 10 nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to the Christopher Reeve Foundation, 636 Morris Turnpike, Suite 3A, Short Hills, NJ 07078.
