Funeral services for Severiano G. Arispe, Jr., 65, of Colorado City
are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church with
Father Ray Wilhelm officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell
County Cemetery. Rosaries were scheduled to be said at 8 p.m. Tuesday
and Wednesday evenings at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Arispe died August 21, 1995 at his residence after a short
illness. He was born June 11, 1930 in Nixon, Texas. He married Eliova
Franco January 7, 1950 in Colorado City.
Mr. Arispe was a lifelong resident of Mitchell County. He was a
carpenter and a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. He was preceded
in death by his father and two brothers, Elias Arispe and Faustino
Arispe.
Survivors include his mother, Elisa Arispe of Abilene; his wife,
Eliova Arispe of Colorado City; eight sons, Ronnie Arispe of Colorado
City , Benny Arispe of Arlington, Ruben Arispe of Colorado City,
Robert Arispe of Abilene, Rodolfo Arispe of Grand Prairie, David
Arispe of Colorado City, Ricardo Arispe of Colorado City and Juaquin
Arispe of Arlington; Mary Selvera of Grand Prairie, Christina Molina
of Grand Prairie, Hilda Silva of Colorado City, Diana Scott of Rose,
Oklahoma, Melie Reyes of Grand Prairie, Betsy Gomez of Grand Prairie,
Bertha Garcia of Duncanville, Patricia Pierce of Arlington, Jennifer
Arispe of Colorado City, Margaret DuCasse of Arlington, Belinda
Arispe of Colorado City; three brothers, Dimas Arispe of Weatherford,
Isaias Arispe of Louisiana and Eliseo Arispe of Dallas and four sisters,
Otila Sigala of Abilene, Carolina Lara o f Abilene, Olga Carrillo of

Eliova Arispe, 89, Colorado City went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, October 1, 2020.
She was born on July 18, 1931 in Colorado City to Jose and Josefa Alvidrez Franco. Eliova was a strong woman with an unshakable faith in her Lord. She was a life-long member of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church of Colorado City and a dedicated member of the Guadalupanas. She was known best as a prayer warrior, and her family is going to miss hearing her say “God Bless You, I love you, and I will be praying for you and the rest of the family”. She was a wonderful wife and an extraordinary mother and grandmother, if you went to visit you would always find something on the stove cooking. In her spare time Eliova enjoyed being a seamstress, doing puzzles, gardening, cooking, taking care of her birds and tending to her flowers.
Eliova is survived by 8 sons; Ronnie Arispe and wife Juanita of Colorado City, Benny Arispe and wife Estella of Arlington, Ruben “Blas” Arispe and wife Ramona of Colorado City, Robert Arispe Sr. of Colorado City, Rudy Arispe and wife Sandra of Lubbock, David F. Arispe of Colorado City, Ricardo Arispe and wife Robin of Colorado City, and Juaquin Arispe of Arlington, by 10 daughters; Ester Arispe-Selvera and husband Ramon of Grand Prairie, Christina Arispe-Molina of Grand Prarie, Hilda Arispe-Silva of Sweetwater, Diana Arispe-Masterson and husband Dearle of Springdale, Arkansas, Melie Arispe-Reyes of Arlington, Betsi Arispe of Arlington, Berta Arispe-Garcia of Colorado City, Patti Arispe-Pierce and husband Chris of Arlington, Margaret Arispe-Blassingame and husband Jason of Colorado City, and Belinda Arispe-Parras of San Angelo. She is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 94 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and by 6 brothers, 1 sister and several nieces, nephews, and dear cousins.
Eliova entered heaven the same day as her son-in-law Juan Garcia and was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Severiano G. Arispe, by a daughter Jennifer Arispe, and by 4 brothers and a sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Eliova will be held on Monday, October 12th at 10 am at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church of Colorado City with Father Tony Franco and Deacon Alfredo Franco officiating, burial will follow in the Mitchell County Cemetery. The family will be present for a visitation on Sunday, October 11th from 6-8 pm with a rosary to be held at 7 pm at the Kiker Seale Funeral Home.
