Reverend Robert Bracy, age 84 of Colorado City, died Friday, November 3, 2006, in an
Abilene hospital. Services were held Tuesday in the First Baptist Church in
Colorado City. Burial followed in the Mitchell County Cemetery, under the
direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Reverend Bracy was born March 4, 1922 , in Colorado City to Robert Sr. and
Vera Parker Bracy and had been a lifelong resident of Colorado City. He
married Emma Holland on September 25, 1965, in Colorado City. She preceded
him in death on Dec. 5, 1989. He then married Ruby Bonner Randle on May
28 , 1990, in Colorado City. He was the senior pastor of St. James Baptist
Church for the past 39 years and a longtime member of the Colorado City
Kiwanis Club.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Bracy of Colorado city; a son, Jesse and
wife, Carmen Bracy of Bremerton, Washington; four daughters, Mary and husband,
Lawrence Smith of Colorado City, Sandra and husband, Floyd Green of Big
Spring, Lanetta and husband, Arthur King of Houston and Regina Selman
of Snyder; step-children, Danny and wife, Sandra Green of Stafford, Virginia,
Ronnie Green of Thomasville, North Carolina, Steve Belvin of Colorado City,
Demetres and wife, Tina Randle and Don Randle, both of Colorado City, Victor
and wife, Cynthia Randle of Fort Worth, Gerri Randle of Big Spring, Jessie
Randle of Fort Worth, Tomeka and husband, Derek Gibson of Duncanville,
48 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; sons, Robert Bracy III and
Stanley Bracy; step-children, Miller Green and Sha Randle.

Emma Holland Bracy, 63, a lifetime resident of Colorado City, died
Tuesday, Dec. 5,1989 at her home.
Services were Saturday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with
Rev. Robert Bracy officiating. Burial was in Mitchell County
Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
She was born Feb. 19, 1926 in Colorado City to Miller and Annie
Beatrice Holland. She attended Wallace High School and was a retired
police dispatcher. She married Robert Bracy Sept. 25, 1965 in
Colorado City. She was a member o f St. James Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Robert Bracy, seven sons,
Miller Green of McNeill, Miss., Ronnie Green of North Carolina, Danny
Green of California City, Calif., Steve Belvin of Big Spring, Stanley
Bracy of Colton, California Jesse Bracy of Rialto, California and Robert
Bracy Jr. of Washington; three daughters, Sandra Green of Big Spring,
Mary Smith of Colorado City and Lanetta Paul of Houston; 22
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and one brother.
Pallbearers were L.C. Devorce, David Wood, Enc White, Dorsey
Johnson, Nolan Russell Jr. and Charlie Edwards Jr. Members of the
Kiwanis Club were honorary pallbearers.
