*Obituary Carrie
Carrie Burton, 85, of Colorado City died Sunday in a Ft. Worth
nursing home. Services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday in the
Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Woodrow Bailey and
Robert Bracy officiating. Burial was in Mitchell County Cemetery
under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home, Inc.

Mrs. Burton was born March 15, 1910 in Troup, Texas and was a
lifelong resident of Colorado City. She married Henry Burton, Sr. in
Colorado City. He preceded her in death in 1947. She was a homemaker
and a member of the Mt Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Henry Burton, Jr. and Jesse Lee
Burton, both o f Tyler; two daughters, Viola Clemons of Colorado City
and Louise Hill o f Ft Worth; one sister, Hattie Jones of Ft. Worth; 14
grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mary Jamison, 81, of Colorado City were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of God in Christ. Elder Banks officiated. Burial was in the Mitchell County Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jamison died Monday in Root Memorial Hospital.

Born Mary Austin on May 6, 1904 in Rusk County, she had been a resident of Colorado City for over 50 years. She was married to the late Jessie Jamison. She was a member of the Church of God in Christ.

She is survived by two sisters, Carrie Burton of Colorado City and Hattie Jones of California.
