Emilia Alcala Del Real, 87, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday Sept. 10, 2011, in Sagecrest Alzheimers Care Center. She was born on Jan. 22, 1924, in Christoval, Texas, to Feliciano Alcala and Trinidad Torres Alcala.

She attended Christoval school, and went to Jolley Beauty College and completed a course in cosmetology. She opened her own beauty shop in Christoval, Texas.

On May 30, 1954, she married the love of her life, Juan Del Real of Colorado City, Texas. They made their home in Colorado City, Texas, until his death on April 30, 2001.

She and her husband operated an antique/second hand store. She was very involved in her church and traveled all over the United States with her husband who worked with the Railroad.

Emilia is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Juan Del Real; five brothers, Daniel, Steven, Lenny, Toribio, and Anselmo Alcala; and two sisters, Clarita Alcala and Dora Dominguez. Survivors include brother August Alcala and his wife Audelia of San Angelo, Texas; sister Dome Soto of Arlington, Texas; sister-in-law Otilia Enriques Alcala from Arlington, Texas; many Alcala nephews and nieces; and many Del Real nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12,p.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Kiker-Seal Funeral Home in Colorado City. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church with interment to follow in Mitchell County Cemetery in Colorado City. Pallbears will be nephews Toby Soto Jr., Thomas Alcala, August Alcala Jr., Donald Alcala, Gerald Alcala and Julio Guerrero.
