LUCIA MARTINEZ GARCIA

Lucia Martinez Garcia, age 52, died Saturday, February 6, 1999, in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 1999 in Saint Ann's Catholic Church with Reverend Mike Goode officiating. Burial followed in Mitchell County Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home. A prayer service was held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Kiker-Seale Chapel.

Mrs. Garcia was born in Fashing, Texas, August 25, 1946 and moved with her family to Colorado City at an early age. She attended Colorado Schools, then worked for the Loraine Co-Op Gin and the Loraine school. She was employed by the Colorado Record.

Mrs. Garcia is survived by her husband Gabriel Garcia, Jr. of Colorado City; one daughter, Amy Lara of Colorado City; one son, Philip Castro of Colorado City; six sisters, Bessie Garcia of Loraine, Alice Davila of Colorado City, Connie Davila of Big Spring, Cindy Garcia of Snyder, Frances Albarran of Colorado City, and Mary Lopez of Colorado City; eight brothers, Ben Martinez of Abilene, Fidel Martinez of Roscoe, Albert Martinez, Jr. of Rawls, Ralph Martinez of Sweetwater, Joe Martinez, Eddie Martinez and Bobby Martinez, all of Colorado City and Valentine Mireles of Colorado; and two grandaughters, Marissa and Anna Lara of Colorado City
