FRIONA - Bob Roy Averett, 91, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with Truman Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home.

Mr. Averett was born in Coleman and moved to Friona in 1954 from Newcastle. He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church in Friona.

He married Eva Dorothy Harris in 1930 at Newcastle. She died in 1982.

Survivors include to sons, Joe Averett of Seminole and Paul Averett of Amarillo; two daughters, Wynell Houston of Friona and Pauline Wiley of Shallowater; a sister, Lila Gardner of Bennington, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
