PEA RIDGE, Ark. — Estis Troy Bass, 93, of Pea Ridge, formerly of Friona, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, in Springdale.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Friona United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kurt Borden, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Friona Cemetery. Arrangements are by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.
Mr. Bass was born May 16, 1918, in Washita County, Okla., to William Arthur and Mary Elise Bailey Bass. He married Zonah Thalia Anthony on June 30, 1940, in Hobart, Okla.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Leonard Bass of Pea Ridge and Troy Wayne Bass of Canyon, Texas; two daughters, Betty Ann Jones of Amarillo, Texas, and Barbara Sue Bass of Lubbock, Texas; three sisters, Ruth Shough of Enid, Okla., Mary Lou Walker of Houston and Marjorie Berger of Tucson, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

FRIONA - Zonah Thalia Bass, 81, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Victory Family Worship Center with the Rev. Rick Beard, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by Blackwell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bass was a Friona resident since 1943, moving from Hobart, Okla. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Estis Troy; two sons, Charles Leonard Bass of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Troy Wayne Bass of Canyon; two daughters, Betty Ann Jones of Amarillo and Barbara Sue Stevenson of Cedar Park; a sister, Patsy Copley of Loudon, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
