HEREFORD - Julia H. Arellano, 69, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001.
Prayer services were held at 7 p.m. Monday in Rix Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Avenue Baptist Church with Pablo Garcia officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Rix Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Arellano was born Feb. 23, 1932, at Crystal City, to Victor and Cruz Hill. She married Gilberto Arellano Sr. on Sept. 7, 1948, at Hereford.
Survivors include three sons, Gilbert Arellano Jr., David Arellano and Charlie Arellano, all of Hereford; three daughters, Bertha Celaya, Irene Delgado and Carol Morales, all of Amarillo; a brother, Abram Hill of Hereford; three sisters, Lucy Garza of Granbury and Alma Lopez and Anita Gamez, both of Hereford; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106 or Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 70101.
