Funeral services for Andrea Martinez, age 77 of Seminole, Texas will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at M.S. Doss Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Alfredo Medrano officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Martinez was born March 2, 1944 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to the late Ignacio and Petra Ramirez. She met the love of her life, Richard Martinez in April and married him six months later on October 22, 1966 in Seminole, Texas. They celebrated 55 years of marriage and together they built a beautiful family. She was a loyal, loving and very devoted wife and she dedicated her life to being the best mother to her children; she loved spending quality time with her family. She made sure everyone was welcomed with her beautiful contagious smile, a big hug and a kiss. Andrea worked as a nurse's aide for many years and also served as a pink lady and volunteered much of her time to serve and help others in need. She truly had a servant's heart. She was an amazing cook and loved everything chicken all the way down to the bone! Andrea retired to help care for her newly-born twin granddaughters and loved every minute of it. She gave her life to serving Jesus at the age of 53 and loved her Savior with all she had. Andrea and her husband also served as elders and pillars in their church, Cornerstone Apostolic Church. Together they served as communion ministers.
Andrea Martinez passed away January 29, 2022 at Methodist Texan Heart Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jesse Ramirez, and her brother-in-law, Casimiro Martinez Jr.
