Funeral services for Maria Reimer, age 85 of Seminole, Texas will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Evangelical Mennonite Church with Jake Fehr officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Maria was born November 15, 1936 in Mexico to Sarah (Wiebe) and Cornelius Fehr. She married Diedrich Reimer on February 10, 1957 in Mexico and had lived in Seminole since 1977. She was a homemaker and was known as the peacemaker of the family. She loved her family and her church, but most importantly she loved the Lord. She had a very kind spirit and always had a smile on her face.
Mrs. Reimer loved to cook; she made the best turkey and dressing. She enjoyed quilting and had made a quilt for each member of her entire family. She loved her family but held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Maria Reimer went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 17, 2022. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Diedrich, in 2008; a set of twins, five brothers, one sister, and one great-grandson. She is survived by five sons, Neil Reimer and wife Margie of Seminole, Hans Reimer and wife Lena of Wolfforth, Texas, Diedrich Reimer of Seminole, Jake Reimer and wife Mary of Seminole, and Michael Reimer of Seminole; six daughters, Sarah Heinz and husband Michael of Germany, Mary McKee and husband Michael of Lubbock, Texas, Eva Wiebe and husband David of Brookston, Texas, Martha Wall of Lubbock, Texas, Anita McClain and husband James of Seminole, Texas, and Lisa Reimer of Alamogordo, New Mexico; one brother, John Fehr and wife Neta of Mexico; two sisters, Sara Reimer and Aganetha Klassen and husband John, both of Seminole; and many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
