Services for Coletha Bowens of Lamesa will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011, at 1 p.m., at St. John Baptist Church in Lamesa with the Rev. Frank Williams officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
Coletha passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 in Lamesa.
She was born on November 15, 1928 in Pottsburg, Texas to John and Cara D. Sims.
Coletha is survived by her son, Gene Sims and wife, Debbie, of Houston; brother, Fred Sims of Santa Barbara, Calif.; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Cora D.; two brothers, John L. And Frank Sims; and one sister, Mary Alice Sims.
