Reuben Jones Jr, served in the Confederate States Army, Co, E. 13 Regiment, Randolph County Volunteers. He was a farmer and shoemaker. After the Civil war, in about 1867 he gave 800 acres of his land to the minor children of James Jones, his brother and moved to Texas.
