Ova Outland Borel, 99 of Friona died Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Friona. Graveside Services have been scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Friona Cemetery with Rev. Skip Hodges, pastor of the Friona United Methodist Church and Lon Outland of Grand Prairie, officiating. Burial following in the Friona Cemetery by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Ova was born November 14, 1916 in Arnett, Oklahoma to Elias Cornelius and Myrtle Slinker Dearing. She lived in Shawnee, Oklahoma for many years before moving to Friona. She was a member of the Friona United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Methodist Women. She loved to cook, sew, travel and taking care of her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands-Henry Outland, Finus Farris and George Borel, 2 sisters, and 1 son-Henry “Hank” Outland Jr.

She is survived by a daughter-Nancy Roden of Friona, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
