Linda Carolyn Beard, age 64, of Andrews passed away on November 18, 2008, at her residence.
She was born on Thursday, March 16, 1944, to William Baily and Marjorie Lou (Coker) Sanders in Crane, Texas.
Linda was an avid traveler who enjoyed seeing new sights. She also enjoyed quilting as a hobby. Her true love was studying God's Word and attending church at Means Memorial United Methodist Church. Linda married Allen "Al" Beard on August 17, 1983, and they enjoyed twenty-five years together.
Linda is survived by her husband, Al Beard of Andrews; three sons, Lonny Marshall and wife, Melinda, of Kermit, Kent Beard and wife, Karen, of Katy, Texas, and Jeff Beard of Bryan, Texas; one daughter, Carolyn Gulow and husband, Lanny, of Duncan, Oklahoma; three brothers, Jim Sanders and wife, Judy, of Cedarville, Arkansas, Delbert Sanders and wife, Sue, of Fletcher, Oklahoma, and Bill Sanders and wife, Marsha, of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Beverly Williams of Round Rock, Texas; ten grandchildren: Melanie Whitesides, Brad Castleman, Stephanie Marshall, Christopher Marshall, Kross Davis, Jayde Davis, Carson Beard, Jason Beard, Justin Beard and Brandi Flores; five great-grandchildren, Hope, Josh, Madeline, David and Ava.
Preceding Linda in death were her parents, William Baily Sanders and Marjorie Lou Ross.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at the Means Memorial United Methodist Church in Andrews.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2008, at Means Memorial United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Old Andrews Cemetery.
