Funeral services for Clarence C. "Buddy" Clark, 80, of Lamesa, were held on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at 10:00 a.m.. at Second Baptist Church with Bro. Rush Coffman and Bro. Clifton Igo officiating.

Burial followed in Lamesa Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 26, 2010, from 7 to 8 p.m., at Branon Funeral Home.

Buddy passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in Lubbock.

He was born on May 14, 1929 in Athens, Texas to Susie and Sirus Clark. He married Edna Lee Jones on November 16, 1951 in Lubbock.

He was a member at First Baptist Church in Gail.

Survivors include his children, Joe Clark and wife, Shari, of Lamesa, Roy Clark of Lamesa and Dale Pope and wife, Buleah, of Ninnekah, Okla.; sister, Stella Brackeen of Mabank; sister-in-law, Joy Bell of Houston; brother, Charlie Clark of Big Spring; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Clark; his parents; daughter, Rita Ann Clark; stepson, Donnie Fairweather; brother, C.C. Mutt Clark; and sister, Louise Aday.

The family suggests memorials to Home Health Care 200 North 3rd Street, Lamesa, TX 79331.
