Funeral services for Erlene Norman Saage, 90, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 in Slaton's First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service in Slaton.

Erlene Saage was born July 13, 1914 in Hollis, Okla. She moved to Grassland in 1919. She passed from this life Saturday, April 2, 2005 in Dallas.

She attended Grassland school and graduated from Richardson High School in 1933 and later from Draughn's Business College in 1936. She worked for Farmers Gin and had been a resident of Slaton since 1940, when she married Roy J. Saage on Sept. 7 in Abilene. Mr. Saage preceded her in death May 4, 1993. In 1994, Erlene moved to Dallas where she resided at the time of her death. She was a homemaker and longtime faithful member of the First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Saage is survived by her daughter, Nan Saage of Dallas; her brother, Glenn and w ife Mary Margaret Norman of Post; sisters-in-law, Naomi Norman Terry of Lubbock, Vera Norman of Levelland, Evelyn Dunlap, Laura Wilson and Nettie Saage, all of Slaton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
