Crescencia Arellano of Tahoka departed this life on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the age of 77. She was born in Coupland, TX on April 19, 1933 to Santiago and Juana (Silva) Garcia. Crescensia attended school in Thrall, TX and worked as a nurse's assistant until retirement. She married Gilberto Arellano in 1954 in Taylor, TX. She was affiliated with the Guadalupanas and GI Forum and a member of the St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Tahoka.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gilberto, of more than 56 years; four daughters, Anita Rangel and husband Rodolfo of Lubbock, Veronica Ferguson and husband Frank of Seminole, Teresa Shipley and husband Rick of Springtown, and Martha Arellano Zamarron and husband Phil of Tahoka; four sons, Luis Arellano and wife Nora of Lubbock, Albert Garcia and wife Joann of West Minster, CO, Benito Arellano and wife Julie of Seguin, and Eric Arellano and wife Victoria of Cibolo; two brothers, Leon and Juan Garcia; four sisters, Juaquina Arellano, Santos Moreno, Julia Romo and Rita Rangel; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Crescencia is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Santiago Garcia, Jr. and Frank Garcia; and sisters, Cecilia Villanueva and Guadalupe Espinoza.

Rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Green Memorial Cemetery in Wilson.

Arrangements are under the personal care of Combest Family Funeral Homes in Tahoka.
