Funeral services for Eloisa R. Esparza age 85 of Lamesa, TX., will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the House of Prayer church with Pastor Lee Iglesias officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. At the request of the family, face masks are required for the funeral home and church.
Eloisa passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in Welch, TX. She was born on February 26, 1936 in Yorktown, TX. Eloisa married Abel Esparza on February 26, 1968 in Lamesa, TX.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 and Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with Inspirational Services both nights at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home.
Eloisa was preceded in death by her husband, Abel Esparza; her son, Israel "Roy" Rodriguez; her parents, Grover and Rosa Rowland; her brothers, David Rowland, Jim Rowland; her sisters, Lucy Molina, Josie Pena, Mary Gomez, Minnie Sanchez, Rosie Chabera.
Eloisa enjoyed cooking. She helped at different things with money donations for organizations. She never said No to anyone who called on her for help. Eloisa loved spending precious time with family. She loved going to church, reading her Bible, sharing the Gospel with people, and inviting people to church. She loved the Lord.
Eloisa is survived by her daughters, Ruby Gaitan and husband, Andrew Gaitan of Welch, TX., and Diane Castillo and husband Robert Reyes of Austin, TX.; her grandchildren, Alexandra Iglesias and Ruben Camacho, Corey Vargas and Daniel Vargas, Clarissa Castillo and Robb Fulmer, Angel Iglesias and Jennifer Rivera, J'lynn Antu, Bryson Gaitan; several great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
