Fred Bippus' Death Reported From Hawaii

Fred P. Bippus, Master Sergeant of Second Engineers, Company B, U.S. Navy, died Tuesday at Hawaii. Funeral arrangements are pending arrival of the body which is being shopped [sic] here by the United State Governmental [sic] for burial.

Mr. Bippus came here with his parents, both of whom have passed on, in 1910 from South Dakota. He joined the navy on May 1, 1917, shortly after U.S. entrance in the World War. He was born in 1888.

Survivors include five brothers: George Bippus of Hereford; Ted Bippus of Amarillo; Kirk Bippus of Hobbs, N.M.; two sisters, Miss Ernie Bippus of Amarillo and Mrs. Maude Drummond of Elanvale, Kan.; and other relatives.
