Last Rites for Mrs. Ethel Boyd Held Sunday
Last rites for Mrs. Ethel Boyd, 60 years old, who died at her home here Saturday following a long illness, were held Sunday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church, with Rev. James Aiken, Jr., officiating.
Mrs. Boyd, who was born in Tennessee, had been a resident of Deaf Smith County since 1916. She was married to L.F. Boyd in 1903 and is survived by her husband, two sons, Roy and Robert, both of Hereford; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Vawter and Mrs. Maggie Hurt, and one brother, J.B. Brooks, all of Atwood, Tenn. There are also seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Boyd was long a faithful attendant at services at the Presbyterian Church and she had made many friends during her long residence here.
Interment was made in West Park Cemetery.
Among the friends from out of town who attended the funeral Sunday were B.R. Fulkerson and son, B.F. Fulkerson and Mrs. and Mrs. P.H. Luck, all of Roswell; and Mrs. Ruby Gillespie and daughter of Huntington Beach, Calif.
