Martha Bridges, 59, died Monday at her home.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeremy Grant, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery, by Rix Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Bridges was born in Lamesa and attended school in Lamesa and Morton. She moved to Hereford in 1954 from Morton. She and Merl Bridges were married in Clovis, N.M., on Dec. 26, 1954. Mr. Bridges died in 1981. The [sic] had owned and operated Park A Drive Inn and Bridge's Car Wash. She was a member of Lady Elks, Rebekah Lodge and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors are two sons, Johnny "Bo" Bridges of Hereford and David Bridges of Amarillo; a daughter, Lynn Schroeter of Hereford; two sisters, Peggy Lemons of Hereford and Laura Gast of Memphis, and six grandchildren.
The family has requested that memorials be directed to Elks Crippled Children, Elks Lodge.
