William Perry "Pete" Caldwell, 80, of Hereford, died Friday, May 1, 1992.
Services were to be held Saturday at West Park Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Wood, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements were by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.
Mr. Caldwell was born July 26, 1911 in Henrietta. He married Lelia Thurmond on August 19, 1940 in Las Vegas, N.M. He came to Deaf Smith County in 1921 from Henrietta, and was a farmer in the Progressive Community. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tommie Lee Caldwell and Douglas Caldwell, both of Albuquerque; two sisters, Velma Hodges and Eunice Boyer, both of Hereford; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

HEREFORD - Lelia Thurmond Caldwell, 76, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Westpark Cemetery with Harold H. Green officiating. Arrangements are by Rix Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Caldwell was born and raised in Hereford where she graduated from Hereford High School in 1939. She was a bookkeeper for C.R. Anthony's. She was active in Hereford Senior Citizens Center and was a member of the Avenue Baptist Church.
She married Pete Caldwell in 1940. He died in 1992.
Survivors include two sons, Tommie Lee Caldwell of Woodland Park, Colo., and Coug Caldwell of McKinney; three sisters, Leah Goldstone of Eureka, Calif., Willie Carder of Amarillo and Lyn Green of Phoenix; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The family suggest memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice; or the Don and Sybil B. Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo TX 79106.
