Lupe C. Alvarez, 76, passed from this life on Friday, March 4, 2011 at her Odessa home.

She was born in Eldorado, TX on September 25, 1934 to the late Pablo and Maria (Robledo) Cardona. She married Jose Alvarez in Cuidad Acuña, Mexico. They had six children together and were happily married until separated by his death in 2007. She was a homemaker, beloved mother and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Roy Villareal and wife Gloria of Edna, TX and John Alvarez and wife Michelle of Odessa; daughters: Patsy Ferguson and husband Gary of Kermit and Janie Nuñez and husband Miguel of Odessa; sister: Gloria Cardona of Florida; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by one son: Manuel Alvarez; one toddler daughter: Maria Alvarez; two brothers: Jose and Jesus Cardona; and two sisters: Lydia and Eva.

Rosary will be said 7 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Family Services Funeral Chapel in Kermit.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 7, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Family Services Funeral Chapel, officiated by Fr. Richard Waiwood.
Interment will follow at Kermit Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral Chapel and online condolences may be sent at fs-fp.com.
