CLOVIS, N.M. - Mary Marie Dorris, 93, died Friday, March 7, 2008.
Services will be at 11 a.m. CDT Tuesday in Texico Baptist Church in Texico with the Rev. Rob Hollis officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. CDT in West Park Cemetery in Hereford, Texas, by Muffley Funeral Home.
Mary was born Oct. 25, 1914, to Jack and Robbie Conner Fortenberry in Lockney, Texas. She married Emmett J. Dorris on Oct. 11, 1938, in Portales.
Survivors include three sons, Cone Dorris of Yuma, Ariz., Jay Dorris of Phoenix and Curtis Dorris of Crested Butte, Colo.; three sisters, Kate Bradley of Adrian, Texas, Alta Mae Higgins of Hereford and Chloe Dowd of Laurel, Ind.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
