Funeral services for Selia Tovar, age 73 of Seminole, Texas will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Transformation Church with Pastor Tod Delay officiating and Pastor Daphne Delay assisting. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tovar was born December 3, 1948 in Lamesa, Texas to Manuela (Lujan) and Trinidad Arispe, Sr. She married Juan Tovar, Jr. in Big Spring, Texas on February 4, 1967. She was a homemaker and a member of Transformation Church in Seminole. Selia enjoyed sewing, working with flowers and being outdoors. She always had an outgoing personality and was very well known within the community.
Selia Tovar passed away at her home in Seminole on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Tovar, Jr. in 1994; two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by one son, John Martin Tovar, Sr. of Seminole; two daughters, Barbara Salazar and husband Freddy and Elizabeth Ann Rivera and husband David, both of Seminole; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
