Memorial services for Cecil B. "Jack" Gray, 82, of Hereford were 2:30 Tuesday at the Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Bulin, pastor officiating. Burial was in West Park Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home.
Mr. Gray died Saturday at Hereford Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 11, 1916, in Petty, Texas to Sam Bostice Gray and Cora Lee Locke Gray. He married Trudy Trimble on Dec. 12, 1942, in Munday. He was a member of the Avenue Baptist Church and was a pump rig foreman for Water Industries for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Trudy; one son, Sam Gray of Rodney, Mich.; three daughters, Billie Anne Wilson, of Amarillo, Jackie Warren and Vicki Yocum of Hereford; one brother: A.B. "Red" Gray of Canyon; two sisters, Reathal Hawthorne, of Canyon, and Billie McDowell of Hereford; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Avenue Baptist Church or a favorite charity.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thurs., Sept. 5th at Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Joe Wall officiating. A private family committal will precede the service at West Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wed., Sept. 4th from 6 to 8 p.m. Services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E. 6th St.
Cora G. "Trudie" Gray was born March 25, 1926 in Goree, TX to parents, Elmer E. and Eva Bartlett Trimble. She married Cecil B. "Jack" Gray in 1942 at Munday, TX. Cora worked as a Food Service Director at HISD until her retirement in 1991. She belonged to Avenue Baptist Church and the Kingdom Seekers Sunday School Class. She loved to cook and spend time with her family.
Cora is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Sam Gray and one daughter, Jackie Warren.
Cora is survived by two daughters, Billie Willson and husband Leroy of Amarillo and Vicki Yocum and husband John of Hereford; three brothers, Bill and Bobby Jack Trimble, both of Midland and J. H. Trimble of Lubbock; three sisters, Loy Mercer and JoAnn Vaughn, both of Slaton and Joy Lester of Amarillo; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
