Mrs. Grace Guthrie Dies In Hospital

Mrs. Grace Flaherty Guthrie, mother of newly-appointed Cabrillo junior high school vice-principal Herbert Keith Guthrie, died yesterday at a local hospital after a long illness. She was 78.

Other survivors include sons, William, Milwaukee, and Gwynne, State College, N.M.,; sisters, Mrs. Lillian Heidth, Chattahoochie, Fla.; Mrs. Orvill Hill, San Francisco, three grandchildren.

Mrs. Guthrie had resided in Ventura 13 years and was an active member of the First Christian church. Services were to be conducted at the church at 2 p.m. today with Rev. Dean Canady officiating, Helen Borgh, soloist; Margery Eggert, organist. Burial will be at Hereford, Tex.
