*Obituary Iris Jean Cox Haney
HEREFORD - Iris Jean Haney, 82, died Sunday, July 19, 2009.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Joe Schultz, chaplin of Kings Manor Methodist Home, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Haney was born Jan. 23, 1927, in Carrolton, Mo., to George and Florence West Cox. She married Johnnie Haney on Feb. 6, 1947, in Winfield, Kan.
Survivors include a son, Jim Haney of Lees Summit, Mo.; a sister, Patsy Golf of Bushnell, Ill.; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, 3915 S. Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109; or The Stowers Institute for Medical Research, 1000 E. 50th St., Kansas City, MO 64110.
