Garland E. Harris, 89, of Hereford died Sunday.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rose Chapel of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.

Mr. Garland, born at Chadbourne, moved to Hereford from Silverton in 1940. He was married to Flossie Kendrick in 1917 at Ballinger. She died in 1971. He was a retired carpenter and a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, John of Austin and Marvin of Dumas; a daughter, Edna Jimerson of Panama City, Fla.; two sisters, Sally Wolber of Lampasas and Ola Zeigler of Tulia; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
