George Hudson, brother of former Oakdale minister, Harvey Hudson, died January 2, 1994, at Plains Memorial Hospital in Dimmitt, Texas, at the age of 77.
Services were Tuesday, January 4, at the First Baptist Church at Dimmitt, with burial in the West Park Cemetery at Hereford, Tx., under direction of the Foskey Funeral Home.
George was born April 16, 1916, at Andarko [sic], and grew up in Binger.
He married the former Barbara Conway on November 19, 1938, in Erick. They moved to Dimmitt from Hereford, Tx. in 1961. He managed Big T Pump for 36 years.
George was a member of the Lee Street Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 32 years.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara, of the home; one son, Bobby Hudson of Waco, Tx.; four daughters, Sunny Brush of Plainview, Tx., Jean Fillpot of San Angelo, Tx., Alona Hagberg of Lubbock, Tx. and Donna Newton of Dimmitt, Tx.; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother, Harvey E. Hudson, now of Alvin, Texas, and a number of cousins in the Hydro, Eakly, and Oakdale communities.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

Barbara Hudson, 86, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in West Park Cemetery in Hereford with Dr. Wayne Hudson of Calvary Baptist Church of Burkburnett officiating. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Hudson went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday. She was born Feb. 22, 1918, to James and Leslie Conaway. Barbara married the love of her life, George Hudson, on Nov. 19, 1938. Together they made a warm and loving home for their five children.
They moved to Hereford in 1942 and to Dimmitt in 1962. She was a bookkeeper for many years as well as a homemaker. Barbara was a member of Lee Street Baptist Church in Dimmitt, where she was very active. She loved her friends and most of all, her precious family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Bobby Hudson; and a grandson, Chad Hudson.
Survivors include four daughters, Sunny Brush and husband, Don, and Donna Luig and husband, Jason, all of Amarillo, Jean Fillpot and husband, Jim, of San Angelo, and Alona Beesinger and husband, Joel, of Lubbock; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Brush, Jay Fillpot, Dagon Newton, Clint Birdwell, Rick Lee and Keith Kunz.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice in care of Olivia's Angels, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at 6711 Chalet Court in Amarillo.
