Funeral services for Boyd Knox, 77, of Hereford, will be held this afternoon at 2 p.m. at Gililland-Watson Funeral Home Rose Chapel with the Rev. Mack McCarter, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.
Mr. Knox, who died Monday, was born in Lockesburg, Ark. He was married to Ruth Dennis in 1919 in Lakeview. They moved to Hereford from Wellington in 1931.
The couple owned the Hereford Bakery for many years. Mr. Knox was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Jack of Portales, N.M.; a daughter, Mrs. Ireene Marver [sic] of Longview; two brothers, Debbs of Hereford and Jack of McCamey; a sister, Mrs. Yolan Roberson of Quitaque; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
