Funeral services for Emma E. Martin, 87, were conducted this morning in Rose Chapel of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home with the Rev. Buster Grigg, pastor of Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in West Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin was born in Tishomingo, Okla. She married E.E. Martin in 1919 in Durant, Okla. He died in 1972. She came to Deaf Smith County in 1941 from Tarnell. She was a homemaker and member of Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Dale Martin of Canton, and Billie Martin of Belen, N.M.; two daughters, Shirley Buckelew and Dorothy Goetz, both of Lubbock; a sister, Velma Gray of Long Beach, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
