Funeral services for David McCarley, 59, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday in Rix Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Huffacker of Church of the Nazarene officiating. He will be assisted by Pat Parker. Burial will be held in West Park Cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors of Hereford.
Mr. McCarley died Friday morning in VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, N.M.
Born July 13, 1924 in Texas, Mr. McCarley was a retired television technician. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict.
Mr. McCarley married Laura Pearce Dec. 11, 1942 in Reno, Nev. and had lived in Ruidoso, N.M. for nine years. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Steve of Lovington, N.M.; two dauthers, Joyce Skelton and Cindy Nunley both of Hereford; three grandchildren; a brother, Herman McCarley of Umbarger; two sisters, Joan Miller of Amarillo and Geneva Walker of Roswell, N.M.

HEREFORD - Laura Louise McCarley, 85, died Friday, July 24, 2009.
Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Hereford Heritage Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.
Laura married David G. McCarley on Dec. 11, 1942, in Reno, Nev. She moved to Hereford in 1961. Laura was proud of being a ward clerk at Ruidoso Hospital in Ruidoso, N.M., from which she retired. She was an infinitely patient and loving mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 9, 1983.
Survivors include a son, Steve Vernon McCarley of Hobbs, N.M.; two daughters, Joyce Yvonne Skelton and Cynthia Justine Nunley, both of Hereford; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be to Samaritan Home Health & Hospice, 400 Ranger Drive, Hereford, TX 79045.
