HEREFORD - Manuel Medeles, 100, died Saturday, June 12, 2010.

Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Good News Church in Hereford with the Rev. David Alvarado officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery in Hereford by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home of Hereford.

Mr. Medeles was born Oct. 10, 1909, in Guerrero, Mexico, to Elijio and Shista Medeles. He married Maria Del Bosque in 1947 in Zapata. Mr. Medeles was a retired farm worker.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a son; three brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include five sons, Candelario Medeles and wife Ana, Amado Medeles and wife Teresa, and Lionel Medeles and wife Rosie, all of Hereford, Arnoldo Medeles and wife Janie of Akron, Colo., and Juan Medeles and wife Yolanda of Mission; four daughters, Margie Perez and husband Rick, Irene Martinez and husband George, Amelia Balderaz and husband Santos, and Lisa Lopez and companion Jacinto, all of Hereford; a brother, Jose Medeles of Laredo; a sister, Aurora Casteyino of Mission; 42 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

HEREFORD - Dora Medeles, 80, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, in Amarillo.

Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. today in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Medeles was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Zapata to Candelario and Guadalupe Del Bosque. She married Manuel Medeles in 1947 in Zapata.

Survivors include her husband; five sons, Candelario Medeles, Amado Medeles and Lionel Medeles, all of Hereford, Arnold Medeles of Akron, Colo., and Juan Medeles of Mission; four daughters, Margie Perez, Irene Martinez, Lisa Lopez and Amelia Balderaz, all of Hereford; a sister, Irene Loera of Kingsville; 40 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
