Wife of Joe Sparkman
Daughter of Kenneth Erle and Gloss Oats Davies
Kelly Sparkman, 67, of Slaton was born July 7, 1943 in Slaton. She passed from this life January 14, 2011.
Kelly grew up in Southland and graduated from Southland High School in 1961. On March 26, 1964, Kelly married Joe Sparkman.
She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1975 and later received her masters. Kelly taught in Slaton's Junior High School from 1976 until her retirement in 2005.
The organizations that Kelly was active with were the Slaton Retired Teacher Association, Daughters of the Pioneer Study Club and Wednesday Wizards Investment Club.
Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Gloss Davies and a brother, Bill.
Her survivors include her husband, Joe; sons, Kent Sparkman both of Slaton, Noel Rivenes of Dallas; brother, Arthur Davies of Slaton; sister, Linda Stewart of Colorado City; and grandchildren, Tucker and Sloan Rivenes.
