FRIONA — Lesta Lee Sharpe Neill, 88, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Baptist Church in Friona with the Rev. Rick Burton, pastor, and Leon Talley of Friona officiating. Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery in Hereford. Arrangements are by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.
Mrs. Neill was born Feb. 26, 1923, in Follett to Marcus and Jennie Reynolds Sharpe. She graduated from Follett High School in 1940, attended Wayland College from 1940 to 1942, and completed her teacher's degree at West Texas State University in 1945.
She married Kenneth W. Neill on Oct. 21, 1945, and they lived in Summerfield after the marriage until they moved to Friona in October 1962.
She was devoted to her Lord, her church and her family.
Music was an integral part of her life, as she was an accomplished keyboard and voice musician. Teaching was her passion, and she inspired many students to achieve the most they could.
Mrs. Neill was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kenneth Sharpe; and a daughter, LeAnn Neill.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Neill of Friona; three daughters, Cheryl Weatherly and Susan Baker, both of Friona, and Becky Dunn and husband Cayce of Aurora, Colo.; two sons, Mark Neill and wife Lisa of Friona and Mike Neill and wife Kristi of Canyon; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Prairie Acres Nursing Home, 201 E. 15th St. Friona, TX 79035.

Services Held for Le Ann Neill Sat.
Final rites were held Saturday at 4 p.m. for Le Ann Neill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Neill of Summerfield, in the Summerfield Baptist Church and conducted by Rev. Merle Weathers, pastor.
The year-old baby, born June 13, 1957, died Friday afternoon in the Palmer County Community Hospital in Friona.
Survivors other than the parents, were three sisters, Cheryl, Sue, and Vekkie.
Burial services were held in West Park Cemetary [sic] under the direction of Gililland Funeral Home.
