HEREFORD —Elida Ocelotl, 50, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, in her residence in Hereford.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Good News Church with the Rev. David Alvarado, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Rix Funeral Directors of Hereford. Prayer Service will at 6 p.m. today in Rix Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Gomez was born May 10, 1961, in Hereford to Eliseo Gomez and Enedina Zamora Gomez. She married Jose Ocelotl on April 18, 1993, in Uvalde.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Melissa Gomez of Hereford; three sons, Rodney Gomez of Gibbon, Neb., David Medina of Hereford, Daniel Medina of Hereford; his parents, Eliseo Gomez of Canyon and Enedina Gomez of Hereford; three sisters, Cynthia Lara, Peggy Garcia and Rhonda Gomez, all of Hereford; five brothers, Elias Gomez, Eliseo Gomez Jr.; Robert Gomez, Randy Gomez, all of Hereford, and Ronnie Gomez of Lubbock; and seven grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to American Diabetes Association, 8008 Slide Road Suite 12-A, Lubbock, TX 79424.
