*Obituary
Mrs. Mary Effy Phillips, wife of N.O. Phillips, died Monday in the hospital here following a brief illness. She was 41 years old. The family lives on a farm near Adrian.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Black Chapel, conducted by Rev. P.A. Ausmus, Baptist minister at Lubbock. Burial was in West Park Cemetery.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Phillips leaves three daughters and a son. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.F. McCarty, of Benjamin, Texas were here for the funeral.
