Death of Mrs. Pogue
Mrs. Lottye [sic] Hough Pogue of Slaton, Texas, daughter of Mrs. J.W. Hough of Hereford, died at her home on October 11th of pneumonia and other complications, and was interred at Hereford last Saturday morning. The body was taken from the train to the Baptist church, where the funeral services were held under the auspices of Rev. J.E. McClurkin.
Mrs. Pogue was reared in the Panhandle, and resided in Hereford from 1900 until a few years ago, when she moved to Slaton. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Clyde Pogue, three children, one sister, Mrs. Leslie Robinson of Odell, Texas, and three brothers, Luther, Reece and Raleigh Hough of Hereford.
Mrs. Pogue leaves many long-time friends in Hereford and vicinity, who join in the sorrow of the bereaved husband, children, mother, sister and brothers of the deceased.
